It is our hope that we will labor together in the power of the Holy Spirit to be a God-Centered, Christ-Exalting, Bible-Saturated, Gospel-Driven, Relationally-Connected, and Mission-Minded family of churches through which God's glory will be known in our families, our neighborhoods, our communities, and the ends of the earth!
GOD-CENTERED We want to be a people who live confidently in the reality that God does all things for His own glory, that the chief end of human beings is to glorify and enjoy God, and that God is sovereign over all things (Psalm 19; Isaiah 40; 43:13; Psalm 16:11; I Chronicles 29:11-12; Psalm 135:6; Ephesians 1:2-14).
CHRIST-EXALTING In Christ all the promises of God are yes and amen (1 Corinthians 1:20; Luke 24:27). We want to be a people who are being formed into the likeness of Christ, living in the reality that we belong to Christ, we are his body of which he is the head, his bride and he is the bridegroom, his people purchased by his blood shed on the cross. We are the fullness of him who fills all in all (II Corinthians 1:20; II Corinthians 3:18; I Corinthians 12:27; Ephesians 5:22-31; Ephesians 1:15-23).
BIBLE-SATURATED As apposed to simply knowing the bible, we want to be a people who immerse ourselves in the scriptures, submitting ourselves to their authority, that we might know God and his purposes and seek in the power of the Spirit to live in light of his promises (Psalm 63:1; Isaiah 55:1; Psalm 19; II Timothy 3:16-17).
GOSPEL-DRIVEN We want the historical reality that the promised Messiah, Jesus, sent from the Father, lived a perfect life that we could not live, died a death for sin we could not die, was buried, was resurrected three days later, and is now at the right hand of the Father, to shape every aspect of our lives and compel us to share this good news in word and in deed with all people (Matthew 28:18-20; I Corinthians 15:1-7) As the gospel grows in us and in the whole world disciples will multiply and churches will be planted (Colossians 1:3-8).
RELATIONALLY-CONNECTED The Triune God (Father, Son, Spirit) lives in perfect harmony with himself and calls us also to live in harmony with one another as believers and as churches (John 17:20-26). This also means we want to be a people who live out this reality that God designed women and men to be equal but to have different yet complementary roles in the home and in the church as seen in the trinity (Philippians 1:3-6; Ephesians 5:21-31). For example in Ephesians 1:2-14 we see that the Father plans and directs redemption history, the son accomplished the Father's will, and the Spirit applies it to our lives and seals us.
MISSION-MINDED We are a people who regularly gather for mutual encouragement through singing, praying, proclamation of the word, the celebration of the Lord's Supper, and baptism. Because our God is a missionary God, we are also a people who are sent out to our homes and neighborhoods to live in relationship with each other (believers) in such a way that people can see a demonstration of the kingdom and be invited to participate in it. We are also a people who are sent out into the world to be present in work places, restaurants, schools, sports events...to live and proclaim the gospel of the kingdom and invite others in (Acts 2:42-47; Acts 17:16-34; Matthew 28:18-20; Luke 9-10).
